Fitzgerald State School

Welcome to Fitzgerald State School's website. Fitzgerald State School is located in an established residential area in North Mackay. 

Fitzgerald State School offers Prep to Year 6 with a current enrolment of 660 students. As well as class teachers, Fitzgerald has music and HPE specialists, a teacher librarian, a Japanese teacher, a Master teacher, visiting Instrumental specialists, learning support teachers, a special needs teacher, a guidance officer and a school chaplain. 

Fitzgerald State School offers a distinctive curriculum with extra curricula activities such as excursions, camps, learn to swim programs, sport, debating, academic competitions and a student council.  Additionally, this school has a strong history of commitment to the Arts with a school musical, our 'Spectacular', an annual highlight and a number of public performances by its highly acclaimed drama and Wakakirri groups.
